The man, legend and crazy mother fucker, Henry Rollins, weighs in on his thoughts about the current state of music (see below). I agree with most of it, but I think he’s a but biased towards the music he loves (which most of us are.) We can all speak about the music we grew up to as being the best. For me, nothing will beat the early days of Jungle/DnB. It was raw, honest and full of energy. But to be honest, I find that Drum and Bass still holds a lot of those early components. DnB has always stuck to itself. We’ve made our own industry inside “The Industry“. The DnB industry has its good and bad (like everything else), but it has alway kept the scene honest (mainly because the heads wont have it any other way). I’m proud to be a part of the DnB community and proud of the good times and bad times. The one thing that DnB has always proven is that it doesn’t give up. Who knows, maybe that’s where the term “Junglist Soldier” came from?
