It looks like subscription base music site, Rdio, is making some moves. They’ve added their service to 20 more countries for a total of 51 countries. This looks great for the industry, but no one seems to be talking about what their artist will get paid? Isn’t that important? Don’t they make the music people are streaming? Rido makes a nice statement here, but gives no figures. From what I’ve read they pay a similar amount as Spotify (.030 -.001 of a cent USD per play). I guess my point is, how can artists make money from these types of services. I don’t know?
