Hey guys,
Check out this great blog post from Lacquer Channel Mastering. There’s some really interesting info in the post and Apple now supplies a script that will convert your non compressed media into and Apple AAC (MP4) file. I did some of my own testing following the steps and saw some minor sonic differences, but would I say i heard a difference? No, but it’s great to see a massive company like Apple/iTunes care about the sonic quality of music. AND, maybe less kids will go deaf from those shitty sounding MP3’s.
